I’m All Joost Up

(Leave a comment for an invite…but I can’t guarantee I’ll get to everybody)
I finally got my Joost invite (thank you anonymous angel out there). So, now I have the full power of Joost at my fingertips…sort of. The Internet connection here blocks the program, which is understandable. From home, however, I’ll get to experience the whole thing. But, I’ve checked out the interface, and it is ssslick. What is Joost? I’m glad you asked.
Them crazy fellows who created Kazaa and Skype have unleashed yet another crazy-named piece of software. But, this is completely legit. They’ve signed agreements with loads of content providers to stream TV online in this special full-screen player. The idea (and I haven’t seen it in action) is that you can get good quality Internet TV from all the names you love (National Geographic, MTV etc) right on your screen. I know there are tons more features, but I haven’t goofed around with it yet. I do know, however, that the Internets are atwitter with excitement over this software.
And like Gmail in days of old, it’s invite only at this point. Yesterday or today, however, Joost went one step closer to mainstream by giving all their beta testers unlimited invites. New users, in turn, get unlimited invites. The idea is that accounts will perpetuate until anybody who wants it can get it. But, you have to work to get invited (namely, play nice with someone who has a copy). So, to do my good deed for the world, I’ll send you an invite if you leave a comment. But, if it gets out of hand, I can’t promise I’ll have time to invite everybody. So, leave a comment with your e-mail address and I’ll hook you up.

Thanks for leaving the post on my site – I haven’t had a lot of readership yet (I’m slowly working on that) so it was really cool to hear from someone outside of my sphere of friends and relatives.
I would love to take one of those invites off your hands if you still have one available. I’ll also reciprocate with a link back from my blog if you are interested.
Thanks again!

This kind of awkward. So I try poetry:
Please invite me to the beta test.
I hope your offer was not in jest.
